地震が発生して5日目の夜を迎えました。被災地は雪が降っています。明朝マイナス4という予報です。
本格的に道路の回復がはかられています。物資の輸送路と情報収集路の構築です。全てがガソリンスタンドは公的機関におさえられています。いつまでこれが続くのかわかりません。民間の救援はこのガソリンがないため、入っていけない状況です。それでも釜石から柳谷さんが昼の救助活動をして今、午後10時遠野に入りました。晩遠野で体を休め早朝ミーティングをして物資を積んで釜石へ向かいます。私も明日16日釜石へ物資を積んで北上から日頃おつきあいのある斉藤君の運転で入ります。
今必要なのは、十分に動けるガソリンです。だれがどういうエネルギー供給の設計を行っていて、その方向が打ち出され動くのはいか、まったく見えません。日本の指導者は阪神大震災の教訓を知らないのではないか。
今日も北海道から広島まで日頃商品を通じて交流のある方々から励ましと協力の申し出が多くありました。こういう時の励ましは、本当に力となります。

今、酪農現場では毎日搾った牛乳を捨てています。集乳する仕組みが完全に壊れています。
私の農場では殺菌機があり、昨日は150人の入院する病院へ、今日は障碍者30人が宿泊する遠野コロニーに殺菌した牛乳を無償提供しました。次から次と要望があり、どこまで対応できるかわかりませんが、やれるところまでいきます。
日本の畜産は飼料依存70%海外からのものです。鶏卵場から酪農現場から給与する飼料あと2週間ぐらいで枯渇する状態です。
これから本当に長い修羅場がはじまります。それでも生きることへの感動をみつけていきたいと思います。
Full scale recovery efforts are being made on roads, which are for transportation of assistance and collection of information. All gas stations are under the control of public organizations. Nobody knows how long this situation will last. Private rescue teams are not able to reach the disaster-affected areas due to lack of petrol. Father Yanagiya is still working to assist people in Kamaishi and is coming back to Tono by car around 10pm. He will be going back to Kamaishi to carry some assistance to people after the meeting tomorrow morning. I will be also going to Kamaishi to deliver some assistance tomorrow around 4pm.
What is most required now is petrol for driving. We are not sure who will make a decision on energy supplies and when the policy will be implemented. I wounder if Japanese leaders learned lessons from the Kobe Earthquake.
Today many of my friends and business partners sent us their encouragement and cooperation from Hiroshima to Hokkaido. Their encouragement in such a terrible time really cheers me up.
Currently, dairy plants are throwing away fresh milk because the system for collecting milk is totally broken down.
I have a milk pasteurizer, so I can deliver our milk for free to the hospital which accommodates 150 patients and to the evacuation center in Tono where 30 people with disabilities are staying. We are receiving a lot of requests from various sites and we will do our best to respond.
The Japanese dairy industry imports 70% of our total feed from overseas. It is estimated that it will run out within 2 weeks.
This is just the beginning. A long long road is ahead of us. Still, I would like to find some delight to live in this world.
