東北・関東大地震　点から線への活動

3月20日でちょうど10日目になります。確実に被災現場は変化しつつあります。衣類・食糧(パン、乾麺など)は満たされつつあります。どんどん送られてくるものが、体育館に満杯にあるのを目にしました。きめ細かい配送がなされてくれればいいが、、と思います。

そこを私は感じて、釜石に専任のボランティアを配置して、情報収集と今何が必要か、コミュニティーリーダーと話し合うことをやります。仙台より応援隊が派遣されています。遠野-釜石間を電気・通信が開通するまで往来してもらいます。点から線に向けて、構築し、需要と供給の一致した策を(有効需要)出していきたいと思います。

今日、盛岡のミチニタさんが衣類・毛布等を遠野に持ってきました。感謝ですが、必要なところに配布します。仙台-盛岡-遠野-釜石のラインができたので、モノ供給から衛生管理に視点を移していきます。

全国の友人、知人から熱い応援をいただきました。その資金でやることは、家は残っているが、ガス・電気・水道の断絶されたところでは、炊き出しを、浜の全壊したところには、衣類と食糧を届けます。食糧も変化します。鮮度のある野菜、肉、果物、牛乳を配布します。(これが一番多かった)　どちらも水は確保できるようになりました。ガソリンが供給されたら、マイクロバスをチャーターして、遠野でお風呂に久しぶりに入ってもらう計画を立てています。

阪神大震災の時、一週間後には仮設住宅建設がはじまったと聞いています。当地ではまだ動きがありません。うわさで聞く程度です。プライバシーを保つ要求も今後予想されます。

The Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake - Connecting the Dots in a Line

March 20th is the 10th day since the disaster unfolded. The situation in the disaster area is showing clear changes. Clothes and food such as bread and dry noodles are being supplied. I saw the gymnasium getting filled with relief goods sent from many places. I hope every delivery will be made with careful consideration.

As I care about this point, I am going to place dedicated volunteer staff in Kamaishi to gather information and discuss with community leaders what is necessary right now. Logistic support members have been sent from Sendai. They will come and go between Tono and Kamaishi until electricity and communication is restored. Connecting the dots in a line, we will undertake certain actions to match supply and demand (to create effective demand).

Today, Michitani san from Morioka brought clothes and blankets to Tono. I really appreciate it. We delivered those items to necessary places. As we have built a support line connecting Sendai, Morioka, Tono, and Kamaishi, we are going to shift our viewpoint from delivering relief supplies to taking necessary sanitary precautions.

Friends and acquaintances from all over Japan are giving us really strong support. Such funds enable us to prepare meals for people whose houses remain but utilities have stopped, or to deliver clothes and food to coastal areas where most houses have been completely destroyed. Foods are changing too. We are delivering fresh vegetables, meat, fruits, and milk, of which we delivered the most. Water has become secured again. If we get petrol, we are planning to charter a minibus to take people to Tono for a bath after so long without.

I've heard that temporary housing was built in a week after the Great Hanshin Earthquake. There has been no movement here so far. We just hear rumours. Demands on privacy will be expected in the near future.
